What does PCS mean?

PCS is the acronym for "Permanent Change of Station" in the military. 

PCS often involves moving to another area, region, state, or country. Traveling for schooling or deployments, regardless of length of time, are not considered a PCS.  In most cases, the military member's spouse, children, or dependents are able to move with them.
